The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia has formed a working group within the framework of developing amendments to the Labor Code.
The working group consists of the representatives of government bodies, business and civil society organizations (including trade unions). Ms Mariam Zadoyan, attorney at “LIGAL ALLIANCE” Law Firm, is also a member of the working group.
The first meeting of the working group was held on 2 August of this year. During the meeting, the parties agreed to hold meetings every two weeks in order to gradually submit proposals and comments on the Labor Code. They also agreed to take into account international obligations undertaken by the Republic of Armenia when submitting proposals.
