Marat has acted as a national legal expert and consultant with several prestigious international organizations, such as UNHCR, IOM, UNDP, UNICEF, EU, CoE, OSCE, USAID, and ILO. USAID and ILO.
EXPERIENCE
Before joining the firm, Marat was at the RA Ministry of Social Security and coordinated the functions at the Department of Labor Relationships and Social Dialogue under the Unit of the Refugee and Migration General Department. Afterward, he joined the RA Human Rights Defender team and was appointed a representative on Social Issues of the Defender and actively engaged in the protection of social and labor rights and rights of refugees and migrants. Mr. Atovmyan was an independent expert of the Standing Social Commission of the RA Parliament and significantly contributed to the lawmaking activities of the current RA Labor Code. Serving as an ILO expert, he has been experienced as a child labor protection lawyer.
Since 2010 he is practicing law as an attorney at law and his client list includes various local and international clients and deals with civil, contract, labor, commercial and non-commercial, immigration and family legislation, insurance law, arbitration and dispute resolution, conflict management, among which international and regional organizations, state non-commercial organizations, and commercial and non-commercial organizations. Marat Atovmyan has a track record of representing his clients before state and non-state bodies, including courts at different levels.
Marat Atovmyan has been lecturing for more than 20 years. Currently he is a lecturer at the Public Administration Academy of RA․
